Wide World Seven steps to reducing stress
When it comes to rest and relieving stress there are proven techniques (which you can mix and match) that release good hormones into your system.
3. Practice Deep Breathing Take a slow, deep breath and cough it out (repeat 2 or 3 times). Then draw very deep, slow droughts through your nose and release the air very slowly through your mouth until your lungs are as empty as you can get them. [This might cause you to cough, but that's ok, because you are getting the benefits anyway.] Keep taking slow, deep breaths until you are sweating, very relaxed or feel tingly in your scalp. This indicates a higher concentration of oxygen in the brain. Another breathing technique is hyperventilation, which is much faster, but the required muscle movement can be hard or trigger spasms in the diaphragm. 4. Laugh 5. Enjoy the Warm Fuzzies Horses, cows, cats, dogs-- Warm blooded domestic creatures are designed to fit into our needs.
