Having added Guide Dog services to its leading Assistance Dog capabilities, PAWS® is uniquely positioned to help clients around the country in a variety of settings use specially-trained Assistance Dogs to achieve their goals of greater independence and self-sufficiency. As our commitment to providing a service to people with disabilities nationwide increasingly demands customized solutions and a true partnership approach in providing them, PAWS has a unique service system for our clients. Our range, expertise and heritage of innovation lead us in three areas of focus: commitment, excellence and capability. As one of the first organizations to offer Assistance Dogs to people with disabilities, PAWS has a long history of providing the highest quality and innovative services to this population. PAWS pioneered the community field representative concept whereby clients are assessed, placed and trained in their real life home and community environment; developed specialized devices and accessories to further enable access for our clients; and created the world’s first Service/Guide Dog Program. PAWS’s involvement in the disability community will spur further innovation in Assistance Dog training. Applications from our Service/Guide Dog Program are evidence of the growing needs within the disability community. Backed by a budget of more than $4 million for our services and training capabilities, PAWS is moving forward with improved programming, along with agency process enhancements that will provide a consistently excellent customer experience.

PAWS’s service delivery network reaches nearly 40 states, comprises nearly 100 Field Representatives and is supported by industry experts across the country. No other agency can match the service quality and economic efficiency built into PAWS’s community field representative network, which is providing the foundation for independence solutions individualized for people with disabilities. PAWS has developed advanced service and training programs, enabling us to integrate lifetime team support into our client offerings. A key example is the ability of clients to access updated training when they choose to modify or add a new task needed from their Assistance Dog.
